Author/Artist Review

Author: Christopher Benfield
Located in: State Road, NC
Submitted: June 23, 2016

Tell us a little about yourself.  I have been in pastoral ministry since 2005, and am currently serving Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Mount Airy, NC. I maintain the Pulpit Pages website, which has available sermon resources. It is my desire to help equip others to preach and teach God's Word.

What was your motivation behind this project?  We all can relate to the story of Joseph. He faced much adversity, and yet God was faithful through it all. At times it seemed as if life was hopeless, but God was always working for Joseph's good and His glory. In times of doubt and fear, we need to trust the Lord by faith.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  I hope the reader will be encouraged in their walk with the Lord and challenged in their faith. Life is difficult, but the Lord is able to provide and sustain us.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  As I studied the life of Joseph, and prepared the material, I was reminded of the grace and provision of God. Joseph stands as a beautiful Old Testament picture of Christ. My relationship with the Lord was strengthened through working on the book.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  John Butler, John Phillips, Adrian Rogers, David Jeremiah, John MacArthur, Alan Carr.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  The Pulpit Pages title is a great resource for sermon preparation, small group studies, or as a personal devotion.
