homeschoolmom5 Stars Out Of 5preps for collegeFebruary 2, 2015homeschoolmomQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is preparing my oldest child for what he will hear in college when he takes the mandatory freshman psychology course. This text teaches the Christan worldview and the conflicts that a student will be taught in a psychology college course. It reinforces how a student must be aware of the Christian view within the study of psychology. These are very in depth chapters and I am impressed with the topics. As a parent, I have learned alot by skimming the text and teacher guide while I created a 59 day daily schedule. I read through lots of chapters that I found particularly interesting. There was one portion of a paragraph on pg 196 in chapter 8 and pg 145 in chapter 11 that I wasn't comfortable with my child reading by himself. Just review that when you get the text and determine if you should read those 2 paragraphs along with you child. This is a great 1/2 credit for highschool. We chose it as an elective for senior year. It does an excellent job with teaching what secular and Christian psychology is all about and then some. You won't be disappointed.

This curriculum does not teach what psychology is. The sites that it tells the student to go to, to learn what the topics are, do not work. We even tried to find other sites that would give general information. Out of frustration, we just stopped using this. Very disappointing.
