There are fifty-two reflections to be read one per week for a year or each reflection to be read each day.
This book is a wonderful collection of scriptures, messages of wisdom, and gorgeous photographs of nature. Each one is skillfully arranged with the photos enhancing the reflection. Each reflection begins with a scripture and Francines message on that particular reflection. At the end of each is a paragraph for Reflect, Apply, and Connect with God, often followed by another scripture. Throughout she includes quotations from famous persons. These are truly inspiring, and one could be read and studied several times throughout the week, before continuing to the next.
These also could be read by topic, using the Contents at the front of the book. For example, there are titles such as Waiting on God, Uprooting Sin, Laying Aside Worry, Seeking Humility, and Pursuing Peace whenever one is seeking a certain guidance. I highly recommend this amazing book with timely messages and beautiful pictures. I received this book through TBCN in exchange for an honest review.

A devotion each week gives time to reflect and think on what it says and means in your own life and will carry you through a whole year. The pictures are breathtaking in their subjects and colors. Some of the titles include: Variety in Creation, Prayers Like Incense, Planting Seeds of Faith and The Power of Two just to name a few.
Each devotion begins with scripture then follows with the body, that relates to the title. There's a Reflect to ask questions to get you thinking, Apply to make it personal in your life and Connect With God to end in a prayer. Also interspersed throughout are additional scripture and quotes from many well known people. The outdoors brings me closer to God than any other place and the photos are almost like being there myself. This would also make a great gift for anyone with its nice hard bound, colorful cover. I highly recommend this 208 page "reflections on how God speaks through nature".
I received this book from the publisher through Bookfun and was not required to write a review positive or otherwise.

Her approach to living a godly life through nature and personal experiences is refreshing to say the least. She has connected scripture with nature and a Bible study that is impressive. Of the many devotional books I've read over the years, this is by all means my favorite. The author approaches the intimate feelings that we know and recognize, and offers scripture and lessons from her own personal experiences to make this a very personal journey, with prayer as a focus.
Reflection, application and connecting with God are examples that reinforces the beautiful stories and photographs from our natural and awesome surroundings. I highly recommend this book of reflections. I will be reading this again and again.

Earth Psalms is a 52 week Bible Devotional that is very different than other devotionals I have. The cover is beautiful and invites one to open the book and pursue the pages within. From the introduction, Francine Rivers encourages the reader to look at the world God created....search for the subtle messages that will expand your love for Him and your desire for a closer relationship with Him. Within this devotional she has provided glimpses of His messages to each of us.
The pages are broken into weekly readings with brief observations from Francine's own reflections coupled with:
1) Bible verse
2) devotional reading
3) a relevant quotation
4) questions for reflection
5) suggestion for application
6) a prayer
7) an ending Scripture verse
Intermixed within these pages are gorgeous photography, enhancing God's creative glory with awe and majesty. (I read through this quickly for my review, even though I am just getting it posted)...I am now on week 10, the Scripture verse for today is one of my favorites: Isaiah 40:31 KJV....But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint..... I am looking forward to discovering God's messages each day/week as I walk closer to Him. I highly recommend Earth Psalms to those seeking a closer walk with God.
~I received a copy of the book from the author via TBCN, (no monetary gain were exchanged), this is my honest review~
