I have read close to 10 of Piper's books, and this was definitely my favorite. He also wrote this book in a way that a lay person can read it, but not so simple that it was superficial. It was a very deep book. Furthermore, he really shows the pervasiveness of God's providence in this book, and he also deals with a difficult topic that many people don't like to think about: God's providence over sin. He dealt with every section of the book mainly by biblical exegesis. My favorite section was God's providence of the Christian life. He helped me grasp the relationship between justification, sanctification, and perseverance of the saints so well. Highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to gain a biblical understanding of God's meticulous providence.

The Sovereignty of God is one of the most captivating attributes of our LORD. Providence has been a joyful book that shows you God's hand through all creation. I have not finished it yet, but as much as I have read, it is very insightful and a time worthy read.
