Welcome back to Wranglers Corner, a loveable friendly little town. This time we meet veterinarian Aaron Starke new to the area neighbor Zoe Collier and her diabetic daughter Sophia. Aaron is there when someone tries to kidnap Sophia so he calls the police but doesnt wait for their arrival and steps into the middle of the situation. Zoe and Aaron both have problems from their past so resist the attraction but both will do anything to protect Sophia. Zoe tries to figure out who wants Sophia while Aaron tries to keep them both safe. Aaron calls on his family for help so you will get to see the characters from past books. Lynette is a great writer and knows how to spin a good suspense. I figured out some of the mystery but was surprised by who the culprit was. This book is a standalone but Im sure that you would enjoy the earlier books. I highly recommend this book and the entire series
JaquelynAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Great read!April 5, 2016JaquelynAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Whenever you pick up a book from Lynette Eason, you know you are in for an amazing ride. This one is no exception. I was drawn in from the first page and found it impossible to put down. Eason always has the most interesting characters, and you cant help but pull for them the whole time. This is the third book in Wranglers Corner. I have not read the first two, but didnt feel I needed to in order to love this one. That being said I cant wait to read the other ones, knowing they have got to be good. Protecting Her daughter follows Zoe and Aaron as they fight to keep Sophia safe.
Not knowing who is after Sophia and why isnt making it easy to find the bad guys. It seems like there is danger everywhere, and Zoe will do whatever it takes to keep her daughter safe. She is tired of feeling on the edge and constantly looking over her shoulder. Aaron knows that Zoe wants to run, but if she leaves he wont be there to protect them. He is a veterinarian, but feels like it is his duty to watch over this single mom and her daughter. Neither of them wants to let anyone in their heart, especially when it seems like danger is everywhere. Can they put their misgivings aside to see how great their lives could be? Or will danger and fear push them even farther apart.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good suspense story. Eason threw in so many unexpected twists and turns I had no clue what was going to happen next. I couldnt help but love the characters, and would love to read another story with them as secondary characters. I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. All opinions expressed are my own.

This is the third book in the Wrangler's Corner series, however I feel it is a stand alone novel. This is my first in the series and I had no trouble keeping up with what was going on, now I want to go back and read book one and two. Lynette Eason does a great job at grabbing your interest from chapter one and keeping it through the end. This book is full of love, family, community, suspense and mystery.
Zoe is only trying to protect her daughter from whomever is trying to kidnap or possibly kill them. When it seems she can't stay ahead of whomever is behind all this, will she be able to trust the town of Wrangler Corner or is she just putting these kind people in danger. Will she be safer to run or stay and fight.
Aaron can't keep the beautiful single mother off his mind, even though he knows he is setting himself up for heartache. Will he be able to keep her safe or is this danger just to close. Can he keep his distance and heart in tact or has he lost it to her already.
I was given a copy of this novel from net galley for my honest opinion.
IolaNew ZealandAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Exciting Romantic SuspenseApril 4, 2016IolaNew ZealandAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Widowed Zoe Collier escaped to the rural town of Wranglers Creek after her daughter was almost kidnapped outside their Nashville home, and after her car was almost run off the road. But it seems that whoever or whatever was after nine-year-old Sophia back home is still chasing her.
Handsome local veterinarian Aaron Starke is attracted to the pretty widow and is pleased to have plenty of excuses to drop by the property she is farm-sitting (if that's a word). But he doesn't expect a simple trip to drop off some medicine and check on a pregnant cow to turn into a hostage situation.
The style of Love Inspired novels is always a little different to longer full-length titles. This can be an advantage and a disadvantage. It makes them quick to read, but I sometimes feel like the writing lacks complexity, because the shorter word count means there isn't scope for a lot of character development or description. On the other hand, it does mean there is plenty of focus on the main plot, and less sidetracking.
I found the beginning of Protecting Her Daughter to be a little shaky (although full of tension), but once I got into it, I couldn't put it down. The writing was very good, the characters excellent, and I really got into the suspense: who is after Zoe and Sophia? Why?
Protecting Her Daughter is the third book in the Wrangler's Corner series. I've read the first (The Lawman Returns) but not the second (Rodeo Rescuer), but was easily able to read Protecting Her Daughter as a standalone.

Kav5 Stars Out Of 5Great romantic suspenseMarch 25, 2016KavQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5A twisty-turny ride through danger and intrigue that starts on page one and doesn't let up until the very end. Phew! You'll need to stop to take a breather periodically...if you can pull yourself away. Intense, edge-of-your-seat action heightens the desperation and complicates the developing relationship between Aaron and Zoe. Love a teetering-on-the-edge romance. And fans of Wrangler's Corner will be thrilled with a few cameo appearances by heroes and heroines from past books. All in all another stellar romantic suspense from Lynette Eason.
