It was hard for me to believe that Proof was Jordyn Redwood's very first novel. It was expertly written and well researched both in the medical and criminal aspects. Reading it was like watching a popular TV show or movie. I was held spellbound with each page and chapter I read. I kept waiting for the perp to show up at unexpected times and places, definitely kept my heart pounding. Even when you thought you finally knew the criminal, the author put a little doubt in your mind up until close to the end. I even learned some actual real life medical facts that I had never heard before. To me it's a bonus when you can read a fiction book and also learn from it! This will not be the last novel I read by this author. She has won me over for sure!
I received this book from Bookfun.org for my honest opinion, which I have given.
This book is mind boggling. Full of twists and turns, drama, suspense, a medical and crime thriller and very intense. A roller coaster ride you don't want to end until you have read the last page. An unbelievable and fantastic story line with well written in depth characters. Jordyn is a medical professional so the story is based on scientific facts. Makes me want to read more of her books. Outstanding.
ER Doctor Lilly Reeves is a well established physician. Young and seems to have a wonderful career and life ahead of her until she is raped by a serial rapist. Determined to find her attacker she sets out on her own investigation. When a suspect is found there is no DNA match despite all the evidence left at the scene of his crime. How could this be? It seems he is in the medical profession. Possibly a doctor. How will his guilt be proven? What does chimera have to do with the DNA report?
Some books you read you can kinda of figure out the ending but not this one. Kept me guessing all the way.
An awesome and amazing book. I highly recommend it.

Proof, by Jordyn Redwood, is an exciting, edge-of-the-seat medical thriller. This is the kind of book a reader stays up late to finish! Lilly is an ER physician going places in her career, until disaster strikes. Then she meets new friends..."pain, sleeplessness, and despair." How in the world did her life fall apart and she, the victim, become the problem and end up on the run? Can, or maybe even, will, her friends help her? Will she be able to get the proof needed in time to prevent more death? The author, with a 20-year career as an ER/ICU nurse, writes a very credible whodunit. Redwood presents fascinating information about DNA and its use in criminal cases. The characters are realistic and likable. The villain is definitely villainous! The storyline is fast-paced and is interlaced with a little romance and strong Christian values. A debut novel, but definitely not run of the mill. This author just gained a new fan.
I received a copy of this book through The Book Club Network in exchange for my honest review.
This was an excellent novel! It had me hooked from the very first page. Jordyn Redwood is such a talented author. She pulls you in right from the beginning!
This is the first novel in the Bloodline Triology. This story centers around an ER physician, Dr. Lilly Reeves. A suspected serial rapist of cleared of awful crimes. However, Lilly isn't quite convinced. Therefore, she takes matters into her own hands to try to find out the truth. There are lots of twists and turns in this novel. This novel is a combination of crime and medical thriller. If you love a good suspense novel, this is for you!
This will be a book that I keep on my shelves and reread again. I highly recommend this!

Proof is book one in the Bloodline Trilogy, written by Jordyn Redwood. Dr. Lily Reeves is an ER doctor and one day she cannot find her keys to leave work. She ends up staying to help with an emergency that involves a young pregnant woman. The baby is delivered but the mother and child both die.
This is a story of a serial rapist who leaves behind his DNA, often impregnating the women. The rapist also is a murderer who takes the lives of the women and babies. Lily is raped and becomes pregnant. When she accuses one of her co-workers for raping her, the co-worker brings legal charges against Lily as well as a restraining order. Lily is released from her job. She flees town to save her life and prove her co-worker is the rapist and murderer. In doing her research she comes across the medical condition the rapist has that is making it so hard for law enforcement to find the real killer. Not wanting to keep the babies but wanting to keep them from harm, she turns to her friend and co-worker Kadin. Kadin is a strong Christian who ties to help Lily turn her life to the Lord, while he finds parents for her babies and helps keep Lily safe.
This book is a combination of medical and crime thriller. It is written so good that it pulls you in right away and it is hard to put the book down. The story has a lot of violence that is described so would turn away some readers. But it is a great who done it type story. The story is so realistic and fast moving. The author worked in critical care and emergency nursing for 2 decades and it is very evident that she knows her stuff with how she has written this story. This is the author's first novel, but the writing is so good that I am hooked. I cannot wait for more of her books!
