Series: Bloodline Trilogy
Dr. Lilly Reeves is a young, accomplished ER physician with her whole life ahead of her. But that life instantly changes when she becomes the fifth victim of a serial rapist. Believing it's the only way to recover her reputation and secure peace for herself, Lilly sets out to find--and punish--her assailant. Sporting a mysterious tattoo and unusually colored eyes, the rapist should be easy to identify. He even leaves what police would consider solid evidence. But when Lilly believes she has found him, DNA testing clears him as a suspect. How can she prove he is guilty, if science says he is not?
Distraught by the turn of events, Lilly suffers a setback and is fired from her job shortly after discovering she is pregnant as a result of her attack. Blinded by her desire for revenge, Lilly vows she will seize her life back and bring her rapist to justice--and the first step is figuring out how her nefarious assailant could cheat the usually conclusive DNA test. Her search must unravel the mystery of his genetic fingerprint even if it forces Lilly to deal with her own past and shaky faith. But the rapist is watching Lilly's every move. Can she discover the truth before he ends her life--and the life of her unborn child?
TellNJasmineMontanaAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Exciting and intense!September 10, 2016TellNJasmineMontanaAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5What a story! I could barely put it down when I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer. It's hard to believe that Proof is Jordyn Redwood's debut book. If I didn't know better I'd think she was already a multi-published author. I'll tell you this, she really knows how to keep her readers glued to every gripping and spine-tingling page.
Jordyn Redwood has a grittier style of writing that I really liked. The villain is truly evil and you'll find yourself breathlessly turning pages desperately hoping that against all the odds he will finally be caught. Lilly is by no means perfect and she'll have to hit rock bottom before she can hope to find even a measure of peace. There is also a surprising spiritual element that only added to the suspense. Another aspect of the book that I really liked is the medical accuracy that the author, a nurse of 20 years, brought to the story. There is an area of DNA testing and research that was like, wow. I'm new to the medical thriller genre, this is my first, but I know I'll definitely be back for the rest of this series.
Proof is a wonderfully chilling and intense read that will leave readers looking over their shoulder and checking their locks long after the last page has been turned.
(I received a copy of this book from the author through TBCN in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are entirely my own.)
KrisFairfax, VAAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Mesmerizing bookSeptember 6, 2016KrisFairfax, VAAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Wow! What a mesmerizing book! I was hooked from the start and could not put it down. This is quite the thriller and as the back of the book says, a rollercoaster of a story.
The story begins with Dr. Lilly Reeves in the emergency room about to leave for the day when she cant find her keys and a patient needs her help. It is fast paced from there with a serial rapist on the lose - will they find proof to capture him?
Proof has a great blend of medical drama with police drama and then you add the romance - with not just one eligible bachelor but two. Dr. Kadin is so handsome yet Detective Nathan Long makes her feel safe. Which one will win her heart?
I found this book to be totally gripping and I highly recommend it but it is not always an easy read there were some disturbing parts. I received this book from bookfun.org in return for my honest opinion.

Bloodline Trilogy #1
By Jordyn Redwood
Dr. Lilly Reeves is a dedicated ER physician when her life is thrown into chaos when she is attacked. She is the the fifth known victim of a suspected serial rapist, a man with distinctive physical characteristics. The attack has left Lilly in a state of unbalance - her life is slowly unraveling and she is left in a state of anger and fear. Her dedication to her job and empathy for her patients was stolen the night she was attacked.
Detective Nathan Long is determined to get this monster off the the streets. With the evidence he leaves and the description given by his victims he should be easy to find. But no clue as to his identity has been found. When Nathan reaches out to Lilly he is drawn to her in a way that he hasn't been to the other victims.
When an incident occurs in the ER, Lilly believes she's found her attacker. But when the evidence points to someone else, Lilly knows that it is up to her to find the proof needed to get this criminal off the streets and to protect the innocent lives he is now targeting. With no one seeming to believe her Lilly is on her own.
But someone believes her and is working to discover the truth before Lilly's life is cut short by the man who has made her his number one enemy. And very few people have survived once he has them in his sights.
This is not a lighthearted read due to the very nature of the story, but it is well written and intense. There is a subtle undercurrent of a spiritual message throughout that offers Lilly something she has never before experienced - hope that God does love and care for her. This is the first book in the Bloodline Trilogy and worth the read if you can handle the subject matter and the utter depravity of the perpetrator. The DNA and medical information is completely fascinating and may open a world you've never before contemplated.
I was provided a copy of this book by the author through TBCN/BookFun in exchange for my honest review.

jacquiRIllinoisAge: Over 65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Proof: Bloodline TrilogySeptember 4, 2016jacquiRIllinoisAge: Over 65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Proof by Jordyn Redwood, a critical care and ER nurse for two decades, lives up to the high praise of other well-known authors like Lynette Easton, Harry Kraus, and Mike Delloso. The authors first novel debuts the fast-paced, addictive Bloodline Trilogy. Any mystery, suspense, action, and adventure fiction fan will love this book.
ER Dr. Lilly Reeves shift is nearly over, and her keys are mysteriously missing. To further compound the nerve-frazzling shift, the senior attending orders her to stay for a Trauma Code on its way in. From the opening scene in which an EMS crew rushes into Sage Medical Center ER with the 28-year-old, pregnant woman, involved in a high-speed MVA, which the police say was no accident, the suspense and action take off, twisting and turning, then careening toward the pulse-pounding conclusion.
Detective Nathan Long, former FBI agent, intrudes into the ER room, insisting upon questioning the victim about the man that she was going to ID as her rapist. He tells Lilly that the woman is the only victim who has come close to identifying the rapist. Lily confronts him about the police department withholding information about a possible serial rapist. The next time their paths cross, she is a victim.
I highly recommend this superb thriller and look forward to the next book in the series. Lillys journey to faith through the witness of her colleague, Kadin, and through a 65-year-old ER patients certainty that she is to deliver Gods message to Lilly about the Virgin Mary enhances the story. I received this book through TBCN in exchange for an honest review.
