Author/Artist Review

What was your motivation behind this project?  This project was inspired by a message I shared in Bible college titled, "You can depend on God's promises", and a dream I had some 30 years ago. Amazingly, the book cover depicts the scene in the dream. However, I didn't realize it until the cover was designed.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  It is my prayer that everyone who reads this book will understand how to move forward after a painful past and never give up; to keep believing, trusting and expecting God get them to the place of complete trust in His promise to never leave nor forsake them even though, at times it may appear they are all alone. I also hope that folks will embrace the godly wisdom and insight in this book to move forward in purposeful and victorious living. Their pains of the past can be a bridge of hope to get them to their fullest potential. In addition, I hope readers will use the "promise action plan" at the end of the book as a resource to follow the step-by-step process outlined in the book and set goals for what they want to achieve as they move forward.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  Writing The Path to Promise was emotional at times; my heart overflowed with gratitude and worship as I reflected on where I was to where I am now, all because I held on to the promises of God. Also, working on this project reminded me of how many others are holding on to past hurts and unable to envision a promising future through faith and hope in Jesus Christ.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  I am influenced by the need of those who seek my counsel concerning their walk of faith and spiritual growth. They remind me that everything I went through was for purpose; that it really wasn't about me, but positioning me so that I could help others. Additional sources of inspiration and favorite authors are Beth Moore, Sharon Jaynes, T.D. Jakes, Joyce Meyers, Myles Munroe.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  I'd like to readers to know that pain has a purpose. Regardless of how painful your past it is behind us. A relationship with Jesus Christ ensures us of an expected end; we can be confident in His presence, peace and power to bring about His plan and purpose in our lives.
