This book contains the true and tragic story of E.R. King. He left the pastorate after ten years. The book follows his self-destruction down the prodigal path. He encounters his own private pig pen where he comes back to his senses and finds hope, love, forgiveness, and redemption from his heavenly Father. The message of the book is that there is hope, forgiveness, love, and redemption for everyone at the feet of Jesus. It does not matter where you find yourself or what you have done. Your heavenly Father is waiting to receive you back home safe and sound.

He accomplishes a two-fold purpose in his book. First, he has written an excellent commentary on the story Jesus told in Luke chapter 15. He brings out many insights never seen before in the story. Anyone teaching or preaching on the story, this book is a must read.
Second, he tells his real life story of being a prodigal pastor. The book is written in a very dramatic
fashion. The book is a story of amazing grace and forgiveness. The book gives hope to anyone no
matter what they have done or where they currently find themselves.

Tell us a little about yourself. Married with three children, one is married one in college and one in high school.
What was your motivation behind this project? The book is my autobiography. It is the true story of me leaving the pastorate to travel to the distant country far from my heavenly Father. It is how His love would not let me go until I began my return home. The story shows the unconditional love and forgiveness of my heavenly father. The theme of the book is no matter where you are at or what you have done there is hope at the feet of the cross because every soul is of eternal value, just like the prodigal son was to his father.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope readers will discover the message of hope in the book.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? It brought me to a closer relationship with my heavenly Father. It also showed me the amazing love my heavenly Father has for the lost.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? John MacArthur, Chuck Swindoll and Warren Wiersbe.
