EncouragerAge: 55-65Gender: Female4 Stars Out Of 5Prodigal God Study Guide and DVDOctober 22, 2015EncouragerAge: 55-65Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4My bible study group and I enjoyed the DVD very much but expected there to be more than the one main 38 minute session. I thought there would be sessions for each chapter but there were only short excerpts from the main session. So we did not use it once we watched the first and main recording.
As for the study guide we thought it was very good. The questions were very thought provoking and led us to examine our hearts and our relationship with God. There were some very convicting moments for each one of us but it drew us closer to the type of relationship that God wants with us. Very eye opening perspective that none of us had ever really considered before doing this study.
Ellie4 Stars Out Of 5Great MaterialJune 24, 2015EllieQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4The 38 minute session was used with our hour long adult Sunday school class as a one time session. The group ranged in ages from 19 to 90. This session was one of the favorites of the group. Tim Keller has some thought provoking and insightful points as he takes the viewer through the story of the prodigal son, one which many had heard before but with new perspectives and points. The production quality is good and the content led to some excellent discussions. I would recommend this product because the video content is very good.

I was under the impression that there would be six video sessions to be followed by discussion questions included in the study guide. HOWEVER, the first session is 38 minutes, and each following video session is a 2-3 minute "recap" of the original first session. There are discussion questions in the study guide, but many reference the reading material. We were hoping for a video with discussion questions only. Very disappointed.
