The Prodigal God 6-session study will challenge the devout and the skeptic alike to see Christianity in a whole new way. Session one contains the full 38-minute film. Each of the other 5 sessions feature a short (2-3 minutes) recap segment to set up discussion for the small group. The Discussion Guide includes questions for group discussion and personal reflection, as well as exercises that will help you apply the truths of Jesus' parable in your own life.
Taking you and your small group beyond the traditional focus on the wayward younger son, Dr. Keller helps you glean insights from each of the characters in Jesus' parable: the irreligious younger son, the moralistic elder son, and the Father who lavishes his love on both.

honnichka3 Stars Out Of 5BUY THE BOOK TOO!July 27, 2017honnichkaQuality: 5Value: 3Meets Expectations: 1The Prodigal God by Timothy Keller is such a great book. session 1's sermon is also fantastic ans thought provoking and convicting. With that said, to do this DVD as a Bible study, it is absolutely necessary to buy the book as well. The study guide has a place for notes for each session (2-6 are just snippets from the full sermon in session 1), but most of the discussion questions referece the book. Our group was unaware of that based on the description, and did jot require the purchase of the book, and as a result, we are struggling through this study. If we has purchased the book as well, this would be outstanding. So make sure to buy the book too!
