By 1993, God had blessed Nancy Ferrin with six precious children. One was taken home to heaven soon after birth, but the others were her treasures here on earth. The early years were uneventful and filled with activities, family fun, and spiritual training. However, the teen years led one son on an unexpected, destructive path. Heartbreak grew when a few years later, her only daughter followed in her brother's footsteps. During those agonizing years, God's peace sustained Nancy as she turned to Him repeatedly for understanding and strength. Because there are countless other parents dealing with similar struggles, this book is intended to help with the confusion and uncertainty of the prodigal years.
Kim H.5 Stars Out Of 5Comforting encouragementAugust 30, 2014Kim H.Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This book is written from a mothers heart who truly understands, and keeps her own heart in Gods loving hands. I found sensitive understanding of the hurt, burden, guilt, and fears that a parent of a prodigal feels. It's presented in a way that gives sound and tender hope. And hope is the need our hearts yearn for. I have a prodigal - and will read this book again and again. LOVED it!

You will find personal experiences the author went through and how God was there to help her through it. Each chapter was a new experience/challenge that I could relate to. The book was written well and encouraging to know that God is there through each experience and walking with her during the journey.
