Nice quality, bright and colorful literature with good lessons. My only complaint was it was missing the Beginners class teachers book. This is our first time using Bogard Press literature and I believe everyone will like it. I would like to receive the missing book!

We were excited about the theme, the verses, and the daily lesson concepts, but the whole thing just seems lacking. If you plan to have your own band do the music and you like the old school hymn feel, then you'll probably like the music. However, we do not have the resources to have a band, so we planned to use the dvd. The kids did not like the songs and there were little to no actions for them on the DVD. Using the DVD for the skit is even worse. The characters don't move their mouths when they talk and it just led to kids talking and giggling during the video making the whole thing pointless. There is also a "Missions Meadow" place listed in the book, but no indications as to what to do there. A snack guide would be good as well; there needs to be more to fill this time slot than just eating the snack. This curriculum could be good if you're already seasoned as a VBS director/team, but it needs a lot of extra - for sure not the open and go we needed. I do VBS to get kids excited about Jesus; this definitely missed the mark.
