Product Description

"I've got a problem." How often have you heard thosewords on the lips of your friends? Or, for that matter, onyour own? Problems usually mean trouble. And, there'sno doubt about it, trouble abounds..."man born of woman is short of days and full of trouble." (Job 14:1 HCSB.)

Life is full of diffi culty! Yes. That's the way it is, and has been, ever since Adam and Eve wrongly handled the question someone raised in the garden - the first questionin history about God's Word and His intentions.

That was the world's first problem - how should we believe and act upon this new thought that has beenintroduced into our minds? Should we obey our CreatorWho forbade us to eat of the tree of the knowledge ofgood and evil? Or should we...? You know the rest.

As the result of their foolish solution, we now haveproblems with ourselves, with other people, with God,you name it. Life was not intendedwith ideas, with things-to be so full of problems, but ever since Eden, ithas become virtually problem-oriented.

Publisher's Description

Problems usually mean trouble. Yes. That’s the way it is, and has been, ever since Adam and Eve wrongly handled a question someone raised about God’s Word and his intentions. That was the world’s first problem—how should we believe and act upon this new thought that has been introduced into our minds? Should we obey our Creator? Or should we . . .? You know the rest . . . As the result of their answer, we now have problems with ourselves, with other people, with God, with ideas, with things—life was not intended to be so full of problems, but now it is, so how do we deal with them?

Editorial Reviews

"In his booklet, Problems: Solving them God’s Way, Jay Adams provides biblical, practical and straightforward guidance. You would expect nothing less from Jay! He helps you distinguish and navigate problems that you bring upon yourself as well as those that are brought upon you. He grounds the Christian’s ability to solve problems in the God who solves our problems of sin and suffering through the life, death, and resurrection of Christ and the giving of the Holy Spirit. From there, he maps out a strategy for using the means of grace (the Bible, prayer, and other believers) to find a clear path to change."
