Os Guinness was born in China, educated in England, and now lives in the United States. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of London and his D. Phil. in the social sciences from Oriel College, Oxford. He worked as a freelance reporter for the BBC and has written or edited thirty books. Guinness is a frequent speaker at conferences and universities around the world. He lives with his wife in McLean, Virginia. They have one son.
