My niece loves all things princess, and I have gifted some of the other books from The Princess Parables collection to her. She loved them, so I was happy to have the chance to read and review Princess Prayers.
The pictures in this book are one of the best parts of it. They feature the princesses from this collection doing various things. They are colorful, pretty, and fun.
What I liked:
As I mentioned, the pictures in this book help to make it special. I think that little girls would enjoy looking at those pictures as they read the book.
Each prayer that is a part of the book includes a Bible verse that fits with it.
The cover of this book is my favorite part. It is glittery and fancy and fun.
What I didnt like:
While I am usually a fan of padded covered board books, this one doesn't really make sense to me. My niece who loves The Princess Parables collection is six. She doesn't typically read this kind of a book, and yet, the prayers are not really something that a toddler or baby would sit through.
Overall, I think that this is an okay book.
I give Princess Prayers 3 out of 5 stars.
I received this book free to review from BookLook. The opinions expressed in this review are my true thoughts and feeling regarding this book. I am disclosing this information in accordance with the Federal Trade Commissions 16 CFR, Part 255.
JanetBelton, TXAge: 45-54Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5More Than SweetJune 9, 2017JanetBelton, TXAge: 45-54Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I chose this complimentary Zondervan book for review because I knew my daughters would love it. But I was truly surprised and impressed by its content. I honestly expected it to be a little silly, perhaps just sappy sweet. Yet each prayer is well done and firmly anchored in Scripture. When you give this book to your daughter, you are introducing her to prayers for all occasions - when angry, when in need of forgiveness, for worship and praise and thanksgiving, when fearful, when waking and going to sleep, when savoring God's Presence and enjoying His Creation.
Princess Prayers is a board book that can be introduced to preschoolers, yet it looks grown up enough that older girls will enjoy it too. The artwork is sweet, showing five teenage princesses pausing to pray at various times throughout their day. The prayers are rhyming poems, eight lines long. Each ends with a corresponding Bible verse.
If you have young daughters, I recommend this book to you. I predict it will become a keepsake they'll continue to read as they grow.
VeraNorth CarolinaAge: Over 65Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Lovely, will guide hearts & thoughtsJune 4, 2017VeraNorth CarolinaAge: Over 65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is a charming little board book suitable for upwards to eight year old girls. The little rhymes cloaked in prayerfulness cover a nice variety of concepts and activities that young girls will encounter.
Part of the Princess Parables line of books from ZonderKidz there are a 15 prayers that will take young girls from morning to bedtime and all types of activities and situations in between. The sweet prayers are Scripture based and each has a special insert at the bottom of the page with a Bible verse supporting the thought. I am not sure of the version used in this case, but the Biblical reference is provided so parents can use the version with which they are most familiar.
A lovely little book that girls will surely love and that will guide their hearts and thoughts in loving, Christ based thoughts.

Crafty Moms Share5 Stars Out Of 5Prayers for all occasions for young girlsMay 12, 2017Crafty Moms ShareQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0This board book is full of colorful pictures that correspond with short prayers. There are prayers for being afraid, being sorry, as well as going to bed or waking up and everything in between. The pictures often feature a princess praying. It is the perfect book for a young girl who is into the glittery princess phase. My 8-year-old loves it even though it is really for younger girls.
PennyMindingMomAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 515 Sweet PrayersMay 12, 2017PennyMindingMomAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5My most important job as a parent is to teach my daughter the skills she needs to survive in this world. I have taught her to look both ways when crossing the street and how to tie her shoes (almost). The one thing I struggle most with teaching her is how to pray from her heart. Princess Prayershelps me teach her how to pray, while entertaining her too.
Princess Prayersis a collection of fifteen prayers for little girlsfeaturing our favourite princesses. Learn along with Grace, Hope, Faith, Charity, and Joy as they share their prayers to God.
Each prayer is a beautiful prayer to God, written in poem. I love that they are done in rhyme, as it makes them easier to recall especially during times of high stress! Some may feel that a pre-written prayer isnt meaningful. I believe that as long as you are praying those words from your heart, it is still beautiful in Gods ears.
The book is full of beautiful richly coloured illustrations. The princesses are familiar to anyone who have may read the Princess Parables series. The book covered is padded and the pages are rounded making it durable for younger readers who will want to read it again and again. The book is geared to the girly girl.
I love that each page has a special Bible verse that relates perfectly to the prayer. Manyverses are simple enough that even the youngest child can memorize. For example, When Im afraid, I put my trust in you. Psalm 56:3. There are a few scripturesthat may be a little more difficult to understand. One example of this is But God is faithful and fair. If we confess our sins, he will forgive our sins. 1 John 1: 9. Use them as an opportunity to strengthen your childs relationship with God as you discuss what they mean!
Princess Prayers helps my daughter understand that you can pray in any situation and that God is there and hears us. There are prayers for everyday situations that your child can relate to. Prayers for when she is afraid, happy and when she is sorry.
Prayer is a conversation with God. I love that the book begins with a morning prayer. It reminds us that we should start our day right, by sharing time with God. It also ends with a nighttime prayer, showing us that we should end our day the same way. My Nighttime Prayer is my favourite one in whole book. We are all familiar with the traditional Now I lay me down to sleep, but my daughter finds this one unsettling before bed. My Nighttime Prayeris comforting, thanks God for a fun-filled day and asking for protection through the night.
Princess Prayersis a beautiful way to teach your little girl how to pray. It reminds us that we can talk to God about anything that is our hearts. God loves to hear our prayers about the fun we had during the day or the things that scare us at night. Princess Prayers can be purchased at most major retailers including ZonderKidz.
