Mom to son5 Stars Out Of 5Great Read!February 23, 2017Mom to sonQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I purchased for my 11 soon to be 12 year old and he loves this series. Doesn't put the book down. He completely understands and grasp the concept that the story line, while not outright call it, is a spiritual struggle between good and evil.
Fitzysmom5 Stars Out Of 5Review from Rambles of a SAHMJanuary 25, 2017FitzysmomQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I purchased the first book, The Prince Warriors, for my oldest grandson. He loves sci-fi and I thought that this trilogy would be a perfect fit. I was right, he loved it. In fact he not only loved it but his younger brother and dad did as well. After reading it myself I am also of the opinion that girls will love it too.
The Prince Warriors and the Unseen Invasion is book two in the trilogy and we have all eagerly anticipated it. The story picks up where the first left off and still centers on the theme of Ephesians 6:10-18 (putting on the full armor of God). In the first book the enemy's schemes had been defeated and truth prevailed.
In this second book the enemy is furious and is coming back at our warriors with a vengeance. New creatures, weapons, and even characters are introduced. Never fear though, our warriors will receive more of the armor they need to ultimately defeat this enemy. I felt like this story was even more intense than the first. I'm pretty sure the next book will ratchet it up another notch. As with any good trilogy the tension just builds and builds. In this instance the tension is building but so is the warriors confidence, knowledge, and skills.
I cannot possibly recommend this series enough. It is designed specifically with middle-grade kids in mind. The humor and situations will appeal to them and the lessons that are presented are put forth in a way that will make sense to their growing minds. If you have an 8-12 year old you should definitely get this for them. The third and final book, The Prince Warriors and the Swords of Rhema, is set to be released on February 1st. I can promise you I'll be snatching it up for my grands.
I received a copy of this book to facilitate my review.
Darlene WalkerAge: Over 65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5The Prince Warriors and the Unseen InvastionJanuary 11, 2017Darlene WalkerAge: Over 65Gender: femaleQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0This was very well written. Combines just enough fantasy to make young students interested I think.
The parallel to Bible verses and ideals is great and the way the students use their new minds to make
their real world better is realistic and I hope will help students to see how to stop bullying.
I can't wait for the next book to come out.
Seasons of GraceAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5This Remains my Son's Favorite SeriesNovember 7, 2016Seasons of GraceAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5My son read the first book in the series several months ago and anxiously (impatiently) awaited the release of book two. Needless to say, he is already pestering me about when book three is coming out! That is how much he likes this series. So far this is one of his favorite series ever!
Here is what he had to say...
"The book starts in Ahoratos with Rook saving one of Poneros prisoners [ Finn ] from the Fortress of Chaos. Then Xaiver, Evan, Brianna, and Levi get their shields and their helmets from Ruwach and fight the invisible Ents. I liked that their shields could only activate when they had faith. I also liked that it had the original characters that were in the first book. My favorite character was Rook, because he was just awesome. I was excited to read the first chapter in book 3 at the end, but now its even harder to wait until it comes out."
I was blessed with a free copy of this book by B&H Publishing Group to review. I was not required to review positively and all opinions are my own.
lcjohnson1988IndianaAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5great series for kidsNovember 7, 2016lcjohnson1988IndianaAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5The Unseen Invasion is the sequel to The Prince Warriors and it continues the adventures of a group of friends in their battle against the evil Poneros who seeks to take over Ahoratos and earth and enslave all of mankind. Poneros is angry with the Prince Warriors for defeating his forces in the first book and seeks revenge against them. In the story, the kids face new challenges and obstacles as they prepare for an invasion of earth by Poneros. Along the way they meet new characters and learn new lessons about standing firm, having faith, and the consequences of making the wrong decisions. Join Xavier, Evan, Brianna, Levi, Manuel and a whole new set of characters in this fantasy story of spiritual warfare.
I would recommend this book to others for the lessons it gives on faith, trust, and not letting ourselves be deceived as well as for its action and unforgettable characters with each bringing something special to the story. One of the things I like about the story is how the author puts in the part of the story about whatever happens in Ahoratos affects what happens on earth. How we live our lives spiritually affects our day-to-day lives just as the way we live and the choices we make can affect our spiritual lives. Also, the point that we need to rely on God, realize that we are not alone and that there is a plan for each of us even if we dont understand what it is.
