Sharon Allen5 Stars Out Of 5Priceless!October 7, 2018Sharon AllenQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5The title says it all...If that's not enough then, YOU MUST SEE THIS MOVIE! It's right in you face with a heavy dose of the reality of Human Trafficking! Yes, an ugly truth that many ignore, or just are not aware of, going on right under our noses for way too long. An issue of an award winning, powerful singer, Natalie Grant, who has been an extremely strong advocate for several years now. The movie is fact, not fiction. Yes, Joel Smallbone, is lead singer for King & Country, a Grammy Award Winning Band, but please don't buy this movie because of the accolades nor that he is very handsome, a great singer, in a very popular, hot group! In this project he is truly an actor, in a great and powerful role in which he shines, because he believes so much in the issue! He plays a man that doesn't want to get involved at first, (not unlike most people will do). He has his own family problems, but he finds that he cannot ignore what he has learned, these young girls have value, much more than being trafficked, thus their song, " Priceless."
As Joel says in the" Making of the movie, " asked where the concept came from, he replied, "A big part of the journey goes back years and is tied to the group, as they we always shared with young women they need to know their worth, let no man disrespect you and to the young men, hey chivalry is alive and well, so step up be respectful to women!" Ben, (Director and little brother) had done some Documentaries and ran across stories of multiple men in S.E America, S.E Asia & Africa, roaming streets, hiring women off the streets for a night, taking them to Hotels, but not for sexual pleasure or abuse! They took them there to tell them of their true worth. This so inspired Ben and with all they had been doing in Concerts it simply merged from there to the movie, Priceless!.........Awesome! However, I must acknowledge Bianca Santos as Antonia the older sister with such a powerful role in protecting her younger sister, also well played. David Koechner as Dale another hero, I will not give anymore away, but he is great! Jim Parrack is Garo, the guy you will hate with a passion, but really portrays the role with vigor and very professional. Does it meet expectations? NO, it was far better than I had ever anticipated.
