Author Bio

Lydia Harris earned her bachelors degree and teaching certificate in 1967 and then followed that up with a master's degree a couple years later.  Lydia has ten years of experience as a grandmother with four grandchildren, ages 3  to 9.  Her grandchildren help her test recipes that are published in Focus on the Family's Clubhouse Jr. magazines for children.  In addition to her involvement with her church and Moms In Touch International, she has accumulated over 600 bylines since 1997 by contributing to thirteen books and writing articles, book reviews, devotions, and an ongoing column with nearly a million readers.  In 2000, the Oregon Christian Writers Conference honored Lydia with its "Writer of the Year" award.  Lydia and her husband, Milt, currently make their home in the Seattle area.
