El problema del hombre está en su corazón; nada podemos hacer modificando las estructuras si su corazón no cambia. La realidad del pecado y la necesidad de arrepentimiento, para la filosofía moderna, es un mensaje desactualizado y ofensivo, apropiado para el hombre ingenuo del medioevo, pero totalmente fuera de lugar en el mundo moderno.

Sin embargo, la predicación del pecado y el arrepentimiento, por impopular y ofensiva que parezca, es la única forma de cumplir el mandato autoritativo del Señor y trasmitir el genuino mensaje del evangelio.
