Tell us a little about yourself. I am an Associate Minister , I was called to the ministry in 2004, licensed in 2005 and ordained in 2006. I am from North Carolina, but have lived in San Antonio TX. for over 30 years. I received my education at Liberty University. I majored in Biblical Studies with a minor in Christian Counseling. In addition to my responsibilities at my home church God has given me a Nursing Home Ministry where preach and minister to the clients and employees every Sunday morning.
What was your motivation behind this project? My motivation was God speaking to me after the death of my son. I was having a very difficult time and He instructed me to write the book. My healing process began as I started writing Preaching through the Pain.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope others will be encouraged when they read my personal story. I hope they will see how God was always with me, directing me and healing me, that God can and will take us through all our trials and he will heal our broken heart we just have to have faith in him and trust in him.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? The healing process started as God took me through this project, it was a long process, five years, during that time I grew stronger and closer to God. There were times I wanted to stop and God would say very gently, write the book. ans then one day he told me to put the book down and I couldn't write for a year. when He allowed me to pick up the pen again I was very thankful.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: No matter what you are going through , give it to God and trust him, talk with him, he will answer you. He truly is our Shepherd.
