Sarah5 Stars Out Of 5Great DevotionalNovember 25, 2019SarahQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Day by day for 31 days! This is a great read each morning to start with a verse, a conversation piece on a certain topic, and then room to write a journal entry. Within each section there is a break away of topics that Debbie writes about. Understanding, knowledge, trust, and power are the main topics. After reading this you can feel how close you get to God through this devotional.
Bec5 Stars Out Of 5Great DevotionalNovember 4, 2019BecQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Sometimes it can be hard to pray. I always seem to babble on when I should really just stick to the conversation I'm having with God. Debbie Lindell's book, "She Prays", can help you do just that. It's a great 31-day devotional that helps you to get in tune with God. Complete with pages to reflect on, answer questions and journal your thoughts; it's such a great devotional guide to get you to have the right kind of conversation with God. I believe this book can help someone new to praying as well as someone who has been praying their whole lifetime. This book had me from Day 1. It is so good, I believe it would be great to go through more than once.
Please note: I was given a copy of this book for review by the Revell Reads Book Review Program. All thoughts in this review are my own.
Abby4 Stars Out Of 5A very good nonfiction readNovember 3, 2019AbbyQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I don't usually read nonfiction. This book sounded really good. So , I decided to read and review it.
It was really good! I loved the prayer prompts and that it included a place to write thoughts and prayers. I really liked the chapters. The author used instances from her own life. It made this book very interesting and helped you apply the lessons to your own life. I love books that bring you closer to God. I definitely want to start reading more nonfiction like this book.

JenMEAge: 25-34Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Practical and EncouragingNovember 3, 2019JenMEAge: 25-34Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5She Prays is a powerful, practical devotional book on prayer. It's full of advice and encouragement, as well as solid teaching on God's character and the importance of prayer. Each day's reading is a good length - long enough to have substance, but short enough to read on a busy day. I love that Debbie encourages you to put what you're learning into practice, with prayer prompts and space for journaling at the end of each chapter! This book provides a great opportunity to focus on prayer, no matter where you're at in your prayer journey.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. Thank you, Revell!
ConnieKentuckyAge: Over 65Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Improving Our Prayer LifeNovember 2, 2019ConnieKentuckyAge: Over 65Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5The subtitle of this book says that it is a '31-day journey to confident conversations with God' but I will definitely be using it much more than that! In her new book author Debbie Lindell shares 31 short chapters to improve the prayer life of both new believers AND mature Christians. These chapters are divided into four sections: She Prays With Understanding; She Prays With Knowledge; She Prays With Trust; and She Prays With Power and in each chapter there are Bible scriptures, Lindell's inspiring thoughts, and journal prompts to guide you as you write down your own thougths. Lindell's words make you feel as though the two of you are engaged in a personal conversation and her encouraging thoughts will help people who want to deepen their relationship with God. On page 51, she reminds us that "In the same way as God never tires of the sun rising or setting, he never gets tired of your everyday conversations". So many of us are afraid that we aren't praying the correct way when we should fear that we aren't praying enough!
I highly recommend She Prays and, even though I plan to use it as an added resource for my personal devotion time, I think that it would be an excellent book to use in a group setting.
