Julie D.5 Stars Out Of 5A Wonderful Book that will Definitely Enhance Your Prayer LifeOctober 19, 2019Julie D.Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I pray all the time but I always feel like my prayer life could be better - deeper - so I was really excited to read this book about prayer. I was not disappointed.
Debbie shares four categories on prayer:
Each section has powerful ideas and encouragement on enriching our prayer life. I like that it's set up as a devotion so you take one day at a time to learn more about prayer. I also love that there's a place to journal your thoughts and/or prayers at the end of the teaching.
This is a book I will definitely go through time and time again because I feel like each time I read it, I'm going to gain new insights to prayer. It's Biblically sound which is always important to me. This is not a prayer formula book but a book designed to grow you closer to God in prayer. I highly recommend it and give it 5 stars.
*This book was provided to me by Revell. I received a copy of this book to review but I was not financially compensated in any way. The opinions expressed are my own and are based on my observations while reading this book.
FayJac4 Stars Out Of 5Great book on PrayerOctober 18, 2019FayJacGod loves us and wants to converse with us and to hear and answer our prayers. This book reveals God as a loving God who delights in His children. He wants us to come to Him with confidence that He wants to hear our voice. This book will help you in growing your prayerwalk with God.
It is divided into four sections: She Prays with Understanding, She Prays with Knowledge, She Prays with Trust and She Prays with Power. In 31 days you can transform your prayer life. Each day ends with assignments or questions to answer to deepen your prayer time. She discusses the feeling of being distant from God, waiting for Him to answer, running from temptation and many other topics.
This is a good book for women on prayer. If you are struggling at all in your prayer life or just need encouragement in prayer, this is a great book.
(Although a copy of this book was given to me to review by Revell, a division of Baker Publishing Group, the opinions expressed are my own.)

Teacher5 Stars Out Of 5Prayer is our weapon against the enemyOctober 8, 2019TeacherQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5In her book, She Prays, Debbie Lindell offers a 31-day journey to confident conversations with God. Divided into four separate parts, each chapter covers a theme. Understanding. Knowledge. Trust. Power. Following each devotional, there are questions for reflection and space to write responses.
What I liked most about She Prays is the way the author started with the basics about prayer and moved toward deeper understanding all the way to the end of the book.
One thought I especially appreciated was a quote on Day 19 which Debbie expanded on. "Prayer is not a preparation for the battle; it is the battle!" (Leonard Ravenhill) In response to the quote Debbie said, as believers in Jesus Christ, we are soldiers in the army of God, and Satan and his demons are fighting against us on the other side. That is why praying in God's name is so powerful--it's our weapon and our protection against the Enemy.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Revell for a fair and honest review, which is exactly what I gave.
