The authors are sincere in that they share their own mistakes and faults. Each chapter has a strong thought-provoking title that indicates different disciplines to pray for a future husband to develop: strength, trust, faithfulness, and patience. The authors call readers to engage with them in making lists, following the reading with immediate prayer, and taking notes.
Each story, spread appropriately throughout the book, captures the reader's attention at once, drawing girls in to listen and learn. The most important point the authors stress is that a husband should be a God lover. Robin explains, "Real true, lasting love isnt rooted in emotions. True love comes from Gods heart. His love transforms us deep down. As the Relentless Lover, God never stops pursuing us because were His first love, and He wants us back." She supports her theory by quoting Isaiah 49:15-16 which says, "I will not forget you. See, I have written your name on my hand."
Praying for Your Future Husband is a book hoping to prepare the female heart for a lifetime commitment. It doing so, the authors encourage prayer, worship, planning, and self-development. With its real life examples and personal study questions, such a book will minister greatly to girls from ages 14 and older. Each time I finished reading a section, I wanted to go straight to the Lord in prayer. Julia Camara, www.ChristianBookPreviews.com
