This 11-week study is not for victorious Christians, but Christians defeated in the trenches, asking… How do I focus when I’m distracted with so much to do? How do I pray longer than five minutes? How do I ask when I’ve tried it before and it doesn’t work?
Delving into our frustrations, Paul Miller studies Jesus’ powerful, yet simple teachings on prayer. Weaving this with his own stories, he invites us to become childlike. To once again be ourselves: to ask, to dream...and even feast with our Father. This is designed to be used with the Leader's and Participant's manuals.

One should be aware that the content of the seminar may be good, but the overall feel is very dated. Graphics look to be updated at the beginning of the sessions, but it appears that these DVDs were made from VHS tapes. Paul is speaking in a classroom with students in chairs in the audience and he is writing notes on a large flip type tablet. I honestly didn't watch the entire series, but chose portions here and there, and realized at once it wasn't suitable for my needs. I do not think the presentation or format is very engaging and again, it feels very out of date and not very professional. Copyright is 2005, but honestly it seems to have been made prior to that. I also purchased the DVDs for "Before Amen" by Max Lucado and "Too Busy Not to Pray" by Bill Hybels and thought both were significantly better in format with good content. If you are interested in sharing the Paul Miller seminar with a small group or Bible study, I personally think you would lose people before you even really got started. I hate to say it, but presentation and professionalism are what people expect to see and this product does not deliver in those areas. I would highly recommend the book, but not the DVD seminar.
