Worthless Garbage1 Stars Out Of 5Praying Circles around Your ChildrenDecember 12, 2016Worthless GarbageQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0This is the most heretical book I have ever read. I actually used it as discussion points about heresy in the church with my family over dinner:
p.39 "Prayer is the way we write the future. It's the difference between letting things happen and making them happen." This is nothing short of witchcraft.
p.69 "The bible isn't meant to be read; it was meant to be prayed."
p.71 "The voice we should listen to most as we choose a vocation...is the voice of our own gladness." What happened to listening to and obeying the VOICE OF GOD, even if it costs you your life? Jeremiah 17:9 says "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" We are NOT to follow our hearts, our own gladness, but we are to Love God with all our heart, soul and might and OBEY HIS VOICE. Jeremiah 7:23 says "But this is what I commanded them, saying, 'Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you will be My people; and you will walk in all the way which I command you, that it may be well with you."
p. 78 "The biblical practice of the laying on of hands is an endangered practice... we don't do it for a wide range of reasons...Whatever the reason, the net result can be a lack of faith, a lack of miracles, a lack of deliverance."
Says who? Are our prayers for loved ones hindered by our physical distance? Is God so limited by OUR physical separation, he cannot deliver someone who has been prayed for in faith alone, without physical contact?
p. 46 "I spent several agonizing hours interceding (for his daughter) as she made what I felt was a critical decision...[she] decided to quit (volleyball)...but I felt she should stick with it." Does GOD not have a say here? What if she should've quit? What if GOD didn't want her to play after all? Should our prayers not be about God and HIS will being done?
p.40 "I read once that at least 40 percent of our lives are based on personal prophecies. I'm not sure how you substantiate a statistic like that, but I find it very believable." Why? No footnote, no reference, no proof. If the author states it and finds it "believable" we should too?
I can't believe I was robbed of 1.49 plus shipping. I should be recompensed for my time spent reading this unbiblical, God-tempting, sheep fleecing witchcraft. Perhaps this is how he got his 8 million dollar pad in DC:
p.80 "...I shared the story of an eight million dollar piece of property on Capitol Hill that we own debt free. It took a miracle to get a contract on it..." Not so miraculous when you charge money for these ridiculously sensational books! But he goes on- "...and I believe the genesis of that miracle was a simple prayer prayed by one of my children." Some children pray for their cancer to go away, or for their legs to work, or for the parent who is dying. He's praying for an eight million dollar property.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,
declares the Lord.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Joy RobbinsAge: 35-44Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Manageable, Understandable, Helpful, EncouragingJanuary 31, 2015Joy RobbinsAge: 35-44Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This book is small, but that is one reason I loved it so much. My life is full with 4 children that have not only spiritual needs but physical needs as well. The book was manageable, and it was full of encouragement and great ideas. I will agree with another reviewer who mentioned that this book didn't go real deep Perhaps the authors larger prayer circle books go into greater depth. However, I believe this book can be more than just encouragement since it does give several ways to walk out the principles. One idea that I particularly have enjoyed implementing is praying though the Scriptures with a particular child in mind as I do my daily Bible readings.
Here is a sampling of some of my notes:
*Distinguish between my will for the children and God's will for them. "God's will" will glorify Him.
*Prayer is the way we fight battles by letting God fight for us.
*Form a "prayer circle" with other parents-- pray with intensity and tenacity, not just praying FOR but praying THROUGH.
*Pray the promises of God. Know your child (ask God!) and pray certain verses that pertain to the child and situation.
* Pray offensively not defensively. Don't just pray against something; pray for something.
*Prayer mantras are important. It's a single God-inspired prayer repeated throughout a child's life.
*Have a spiritual vision for your child (ideas given)
*Don't just pray FOR your children; pray WITH your children. This will be speaking God's Word into their lives and teaching them how to prayer themselves.

Kim5 Stars Out Of 5This book is a game (life) changer!March 16, 2016KimQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0Many times we pray general prayers about the things we want God to change; however, this book empowers the reader to be more focused around praying for their children. It also shows us how to impact our children and future generations by letting them hear our specific prayers about them. I have every reason to believe that as I put these prayer principles (praying the promises of God, God's will, etc) into action that I will see the life of my children change for the better.
