In his most powerful message since Whats So Amazing About Grace? and The Jesus I Never Knew, Philip Yancey explores the intimate place where God and humans meet in this Prayer Ebook. Polls reveal that 90 percent of people pray. Yet prayer, which should be the most nourishing and uplifting time of the believers day, can also be frustrating, confusing, and fraught with mystery. Yancey probes such questions as: Is God listening? Why should God care about me? If God knows everything, whats the point of prayer? Why do answers to prayer seem so inconsistent? Why does God sometimes seem close and sometimes seem far away? How can I make prayer more satisfying? Yancey tackles the tough questions and in the process comes up with a fresh new approach to this timeless topic. I have learned to pray as a privilege, not a duty, he says, and he invites you to join him on this all-important journey.
Philip Yancey serves as editor-at-large for Christianity Today magazine. He has written thirteen Gold Medallion Award-winning books and won two ECPA Book of the Year awards for What's So Amazing About Grace? and The Jesus I Never Knew. Four of his books have sold over one million copies. Yancey lives with his wife in Colorado. Website: www.philipyancey.com

It is answering lots of my questions. Our Son ordered it at the same time as we did without even knowing.

I do not like the way the reader is working. No page numbers, It will not always remember where I stopped reading and it takes half my time I have to read to find my page. Other electronic readers are not like this. Please have the soft ware updated so your customers will actually come back and buy from you. Until that happens. I will not purchase anything else from you.

It answered the question, "Is the Lord listening to me?" and why the Lord will give you another, better answer, sometimes. The Lord knows everything about you (your sins, your job, your finances, your girlfriend, or spouse, your illnesses, your friendships and relationships, etc.) and what you are going to pray to Him, even before you pray. Phillip Yancy took a hard look at prayer through his countless study of it through prayer books and scientific studies on prayer.
