Pure Praise, absolutely brilliant. One of the best studies and guide in Praise that I have read. Not only for a worship leader but the whole team, the whole congregation. This book describes what true praise is. Thank you Dwayne Moore for this so needed book for us today.
I am on our church's praise team and we decided after running across this jewel that we would do a study on praise and worship. I started a little earlier than my group because I was so excited about it. I have only been doing it about 4 weeks but am loving it. It is truly a blessing. My group will start in January and at that time, I will start over again with them. God always show us something different. I highly recommend this book.
I just completed this study with our worship team. There are six of us that did the study together. We each did the bible study seperately during the week and then met together on Sunday evenings to discuss the weeks study together as a group. The series did exactly what it promises, it refreshed us, re-focused us, and strengthend our bond to each other as a band. I would reccomend this to anyone without hesitation.
If the study has an weakness, I would say only that the weekly wrap ups at the end of the book are a little weak compared to the power of the daily studies. We usually spent our time together discussing what God had revealed to us that week instead of doing the activities listed in the book. Aside from that, the study is great and very well done and presented.
As Worship Team leader at my church, I decided it was time to introduce life group as an option for growth. While searching here, I found this study. It was far more than I had expected. I figured it would be a great study to reinforce what we were already doing style-wise. However, right from week one, it challenged each one of us on a personal level that really helped us to become a family. As each week progressed, it got more serious and in depth. If you are looking for a study for your team, I would highly recommend this one. You will not be sorry. Just make sure that, as a leader, you are ready to humble yourself and be willing to grow as well.
