To read a little bit about not only his history, but as for the church as well, has given me a better understanding of who we are. Also, knowing that God has given me a talent for a reason, I am destined to figure out what it is and what He wants me to use it for. Thanks Pastor Mike for sharing your story and believing in each and every one of us that we can become all what God has designed us to be!!!
Cindy Arakaki5 Stars Out Of 5**WOW** Easy read and inspiring !!February 22, 2013Cindy ArakakiQuality: 4Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Mike Kai, what an awesome author and so willing to share his stories, but more importantly this book has helped my husband and I understand WHAT our calling was and HOW to use our calling to serve the Lord. The stories are candid, and easy to understand hence the EASY READ. While reading this book and watching the Church online services, I was truely moved to action and haven't stopped since. Bottom line, we are here to build His Kingdom, One by one and "Pound for Pound".
*** HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR ALL AGES ***
DaveHawaiiAge: 45-54Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5This book encourages & challenges you to Gods bestFebruary 21, 2013DaveHawaiiAge: 45-54Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5As a pastor, this book has reminded me to focus on Gods measure of success rather than my own self imposed metrics. Kingdom success is based on my faithfulness to maximize and steward the talents God has given me. This book helps strip you of worldly success metrics we inevitably bring into the church and resets you towards managing what God has given you, not what you wish you had been given.
It also helps you turn off cruise control knowing God evaluates you on increasing what he has entrusted to you. It helped me break through some of my own "potential" ceilings. I'm enjoying levels of fruitfulness I haven't experienced before.
I know Mike Kai personally and have seen him live out the pound for pound principle! He's living what he wrote about!
You will find this book will encourage you and challenge you towards your best for Jesus!

In this book Mike Kai shows us through stories and examples that we have what it takes if we take the time to develop the gifts and abilities in us. This book applies to businesses, churches, families, and the list goes on. Read the pound for pound and unlock the potential in your life!
michinenHonolulu, HIGender: female4 Stars Out Of 5stewarding well what the Lord has entrusted to youFebruary 19, 2013michinenHonolulu, HIGender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5The Pound for Pound Principle is one of those rare books that you can truly relate to. Mike Kai's open and honest recount about his setbacks and successes, will inspire anyone to believe that God has more for each of us in this life. But it really is up to us to be faithful with what He's given us and where He's placed us. This book indeed can be summed up as, "doing the best with what you got." That is, stewarding well what the Lord has entrusted to you, no matter how small or how big.
If you've heard Mike Kai speak, visited his quickly growing church in Hawaii, or attended any of the leadership conferences he and his wife host, you would find it difficult to imagine that a man of his stature came from such humble beginnings. But all this is due to faithfulness and steady plodding.
I've seen firsthand the benefits of being content with where I'm at, but waiting in patient anticipation for the "more" God has for me. You will have a different outlook on how you approach life's challenges and prepare for future successes if you follow the principles in this book.
