I love this little pocket devotional! It's the perfect size to carry along with you and will fit in most bags or purses.

I am a busy mom of three and I run a lot of errands.

Sometimes the day just gets hectic, sometimes it gets cray-cray, and sometimes (very rarely) it gets boring. I am thankful for a small devotional that I can carry along and break out when I am about to break down!!

Inside each page there is a prayer, one for each day of the year. I really wish these were dated so you can just pop it open to the day you are on, instead of just day one, day two, etc.

It would make it easier to follow along if you happen to miss a few days, or in my case, a few weeks.

But overall I really enjoyed the book. The print was nice sized and easy to read. It is light weight and pretty too!!

Overall, I am satisfied with this book and will enjoy for years to come!

365 Pocket Prayers For Mothers: Guidance And Wisdom For Each Day, authored by: Amie Carlson, Karen Hodge and Erin Keeley Marshall, published by Tyndale, is a devotional centered around guiding mothers into a more intimate time with God as they seek to fulfill their roles.

Sometimes in the busy, hectic, life of a mother, it can be hard to find the words to express while on their knees before God, but this pocket sized devotional is an amazing resource that helps them find a way to express the content of their hearts.

Each daily prayer begins with a very brief explanation of the prayer that follows. For example, found on page 91, "A prayer about Mercy, When I appreciate your grace." This is a wonderful idea for two reasons. First, it allows the reader to understand the main point of the prayer that they are about to read. Second, it allows the reader easy access to each prayer in the future, when they feel led to offer up that type of prayer again.

Each prayer is complimented with an appropriate scripture, thus tying each prayer to the Word of God and offering some powerful food for thought.

This is a wonderful devotional. It would make a great Mother's Day present, or an any day, because I love you present. If there is a special mom in your life, she would love to have this devotional in her pocket or pocketbook. Thus it is a highly recommended purchase.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher.

I was having one of those I'm-a-horrible-mother days when this book arrived in my mailboxes. You know the days - the ones where you and your kids just don't seem to "click" and everyone drives each other crazy.

I took this book out of the package, opened it up, and right there was a prayer for when you're feeling burned out as a mom. Thank you and Amen!

This awesome little book is a small leather bound book in one of my favorite colors - purple. It fits perfectly into the console of my car and has become my quick little pick me up each day. Each day when I get in my car after work - before I head off to pick up my kids - I just read one of the daily prayers. It seems like God has placed the most appropriate prayer on each page for the day I am having.

This is one of those books that will likely remain in my car and get read over and over and over again. If you're a mom, you need this book.

365 Pocket Prayers for Mothers: Guidance and Wisdom for Each New Day, by Amie Carlson, Karen Hodge, and Erin Keeley Marshall, is a charming book written to help mothers in their daily prayer lives. It is written on the premise that no matter the age of their children, mothers are continually thinking of them and/or concerned about them.

This book is sturdy, with a Bible-like feel and an attached ribbon marker. It includes a years worth of unique prayers that cover a broad range of topics. There is a topical index in the back as a reference. Topics include abandonment, change, character, balance, guilt, obedience, purity, and spiritual growth, among many others. Every few days, a few entries entitled Prayerful Moments provide shorter prayers for days when ones schedule does not allow for a longer prayer time.

I was impressed with this book. Its durable quality and purple cover are appealing to any woman. Its topics cover practical issues that many mothers struggle with every day. Bible verses are listed for each days prayer.

I would recommend this book for mothers with children of any age.

    Kara
