David deSilvaAshland, OHAge: 45-54Gender: male4 Stars Out Of 5Great, but NOT for Biblical GreekDecember 15, 2015David deSilvaAshland, OHAge: 45-54Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5This is a fine Oxford dictionary, but the CBD clientele needs to be aware that it is a dictionary of modern Greek, not the Greek of 2,000 years ago. Granted that Greek has developed far more conservatively during that time than, say, English just in the last 700 years, you still wouldn't look to a modern dictionary for help with Shakespeare, let alone Chaucer. If you're traveling to Greece, this will be great; if you're looking to work with the Greek New Testament or Septuagint, you'll be far better served by a dictionary of classical or biblical Greek.
