I absolutely love this book. My daughter and I have enjoyed trying out the recipes in this book together. My husband and son have enjoyed eating the meals that we have tried. I have to say the recipes we have tried so far are delicious. The stories in the book are a added bonus. This book although a cookbook is so much more. I know you will enjoy it as well. -

Brenda5 Stars Out Of 5A Cookbook To Keep Coming Back toOctober 15, 2019BrendaI have done some of Kelly's Bible studies and have always loved that she included recipes. I love that in this book also includes canning and gardening, and the recipes make creative use of fresh, seasonal ingredients. This is a beautiful cookbook, with beautiful pictures of every recipe. The recipes run from simple, beginner-level to more advanced with a special emphasis on garden-fresh ingredients. Sprinkled throughout are Kelly's insights with the connections between faith, food, and hospitality. I love the recipes in the book and can't wait to make more of them.

DonnaJ5 Stars Out Of 5More Than A CookbookOctober 15, 2019DonnaJQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5f you are like me and want more from a cookbook than just a listing of recipes, this is your book. Kelly shares stories about her life as well as articles about canning, growing herbs, etc. with beautiful pictures interspersed throughout the book. The recipes aren't complicated or extremely time consuming. I have made the Summer Cherry Tomato & Basil Pasta and the Berry Trifle and both were simple to make and very tasty. Kelly really emphasizes the importance of food in people's lives and that it should be a joy and not the daily grind that we all feel these days. I for one needed to be reminded and am looking forward to making many more recipes in this book to enjoy with family & friends.

Jennifer Leigh5 Stars Out Of 5Beautiful and inspiring!October 15, 2019Jennifer LeighQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This book is a treasure! As someone who does not really enjoy cooking, I wouldn't normally pick up a cookbook for recreational reading but "A Place at the Table" is absolutely fantastic! I found the recipes to be accessible and yummy and the photography is absolutely stunning! It's a like a work of art! But there is so much more in this book than just good food, although there is plenty of that! This book is full of personal stories and encouragement for loving and blessing others. Kelly Minter is a gifted Bible teacher and an author who writes with depth, honesty and a sprinkling of humor that makes me laugh out loud! Reading this book I honestly felt like I did have "a place at her table" and we were enjoying a visit together while she served me something delicious and shared her heart for encouraging others and a humorous story about her little brother! This book has inspired me, not just to try some new recipes, but to gather my people and to be intentional about using the gift of food and cooking as a means of loving well.
I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher and this is my honest review.
