The recipes I have made so far have been hits at the dinner table. The thoughtful stories and kitchen tips scattered throughout make this more than just your run of the mill cookbook. It has all that you expect in a cookbook - a great variety of recipes and easy to follow instructions. In addition, Kelly adds food for the mind, spirit and soul as she shares personal stories and kitchen tips along with tasty recipes. Grab this cookbook and get one for friends and family, too. lmgrffth5 Stars Out Of 5Simple Recipes to Bring Them Together Around Your Table!October 15, 2019lmgrffthQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I received an advanced reader copy from the publisher in September and have spent the past month cooking my way through "A Place at the Table". I have always loved reading cookbooks and this one is top notch with its inspirational, faith-filled stories and pictures, in addition to the recipes that my family and friends have enjoyed gathering around the table to share. As the cook, I love the ease of the recipes and the simple ingredients that I either have, can substitute, or can find at the local grocery store--most recipes can easily be put together on a weeknight without wearing me out so I can enjoy sitting down with my guests.

NFiore5 Stars Out Of 5Spectacular CookbookOctober 15, 2019NFioreQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Kelly Minter's cookbook not only contains scrumptious, easy-to-prepare recipes, it's styled beautifully! I received an ARC of the book and this is my honest review. One of my favorite things about the book is that there are pictures of all the recipes so you see ahead of time what it looks like. There are also practical tips provided. The prep time allotments are realistic - I haven't found this always to be the case when using other cookbooks. There are several quick, delicious recipes that are healthy and easy to prepare on a busy weeknight.
I also like that it's uniquely organized around short stories that encourage the relational aspect of sharing a meal. For example, if you're planning for a crowd, you'll find lots of options in one chapter designed with that in mind. That alleviates guesswork and stress out of entertaining. The index provides a logical method of locating specifics types of recipes. The book contains 90 recipes to suit every palate.
Most of all, I love the heart behind this cookbook which is to help recapture the lost art of hospitality and provide easy ways to deepen genuine community. This cookbook would be a fabulous gift for both seasoned and beginner cooks. Highly recommended! -
KatieMarie5 Stars Out Of 5StunningOctober 15, 2019KatieMarieQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Everything about this book reminds us to be intentional about our meals. My family and I have cooked many recipes and loved them all. There is something to be said about using simple and fresh ingredients. My eleven year old and I often cook together. As we thumb through the pages on canning, gardening, and fresh herbs we have begun to dream up new creations for our table. If you are looking for a gift this is perfect! Everyone can find something to love within the pages of A Place at the Table. I was blessed with an ARC from the publisher with out any expectations. By the way, the pesto salmon is perfection!
