We love every book in the series, this one brings the storyline to America, with some unexpected surprises! These books are truly gems of Christian history covering hymns and hymn writers through time. This book also includes a good explanation for what the modern church music is missing today. Great books, highly recommended for middle school through adult (we use them for read-a-loud time, age 12 and up).
Bach5 Stars Out Of 5December 11, 2007BachMy children and I are enjoying this series immensely. I have both a daughter and son and they equally beg for another chapter. God is truly glorified in this series.
Lisa @ Me and My House5 Stars Out Of 5September 21, 2007Lisa @ Me and My HouseWe are currently enjoying the continuing story of Mr. Pipes and Annie and Drew, as Pipes teaches the children about great hymn writers and their hymns. We have read the other books in this series and our children were sad that we put them down for the summer (to return to this one this fall). The chapters are a bit long, but they beg for more "Mr. Pipes" anyhow. We have learned so much about hymns we love, in a throughly fun way.
