In his bestselling book for men, Tender Warrior, Stu Webber introduced the pillars of manhood: king, warrior, mentor, friend. In the Four Pillars of a Man's Heart, he expands on each of these essential elements and describes in insightful detail what it takes to make them a central part of your life. If you have all four, you're balanced. You're standing strong. You'll endure the storms. You'll uphold the dreams of those who are counting on you. If you're missing any one of these pillars, you're dangerously out of balance. Weakened. Unready for life's fierce blasts. In the crucial moments of your family's life, you won't be able to carry the load. God is the One who designed these pillars ... and He designed them to be in balance. Regain your balance and strengthen your spiritual foundation as you learn how the Four Pillars of a Man's Heart can help make you the man God intends you to be.

M Dickson5 Stars Out Of 5November 10, 2008M DicksonThis book unpacks and examines the four archetypes which lay the foundations for a man's soul. These four archetypes (King, Warrior, Friend, Mentor) were modeled by Jesus Christ in their maturity and fullness. Because of my sin these archetypes show up in me distorted and shadowed. Stu Webber lays it out plain and puts his own skin in the game with examples from his own life. This information for me helped to map out my heart's motive in any given situation of life and gives me tools to live in the fullness which honors Christ.
Terry Klosterman5 Stars Out Of 5November 6, 2007Terry KlostermanI've been very happily married for nearly 33 years, but I discovered areas in my life where I had left my wife "holding the bag" on her own. This book was life and marriage altering and she knows it too. I ordered 3 more to give to each of my married sons.
R. A. Compton5 Stars Out Of 5April 24, 2003R. A. ComptonFour Pillars of a Man's Heart spends considerable time elaborating on the 4 pillars (king, warrior, friend, mentor) that a man needs to keep in balance to hold up the "roof" in his life (family, church, marriage, community, etc...) If any of these pillars gets out of balance, problems can develop which will hinder a man's effectiveness as he leads those whom God has entrusted to him. Stu Weber brings much life experience and humility to this book while declaring that God has raised men up to be HIS men and that men aren't to be ashamed of their masculinity. While Four pillars is not a heavy read, it is very thought provoking and will encourage men everywhere to (according to Weber) "Play the man!"
