We got it for our kids who have each studied the book for school three times in grades 3, 7 and 12. It's not 100% accurate to the book, but very close and it isn't the most high tech, but after reading the book, it helps put a picture to the story. It is an allegory, so some may find it hard to follow.

I loved this movie. Having read the book, I found it very easy to watch and liked seeing the characters come to life. I recommend reading the book as I did and then watching the movie. The movie reinforces the story, but it did leave out a lot of characters. My husband watched with me, and he found it enjoyable too, but he had not read the book prior. The movie would be good for those who want the gist of the story at a high level; it's a very rewarding experience.

There is no way a movie can do justice to John Bunyan's classic Pilgrim's Progress. Please read the book if you haven't. Having said that, our family enjoys this movie. We have four children and this is one we come back to. It is the journey of Christian to the Celestial City (heaven). Although it is not top notch, we still greatly enjoy it!

My husband and I were very disappointed with the movie. I have not read the book, Pilgrim's Progress, so I do not know how well the movie aligns with the book it is based upon. The story bothered me. Faith in Christ as the Son of God and Risen Lord results in Salvation. It is true we are to live works for God through our faith, but works do not provide for salvation. I do not want people to be misled into believing there are multiple hoops one must successfully pass through to reach eternal life with Christ.

I watched this movie and really enjoyed the story. Even if some people here criticize the acting, it's still worth it for the story. I think it is like "The War Room", in the sense that Christians will understand the message and enjoy it, while non-Christians will tend to be more critical.

I did not read the book before watching the movie. Being that there are some people who say the book is better than the movie, has made me curious enough to start to read the book.
