MichelleThereseScotlandAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Continuous flow of ink, no ink skipping or blotsMay 26, 2014MichelleThereseScotlandAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5One thing that I can't *stand* when I use a pen, for any reason but especially for underlining tight Bible passages, is when the ink skips and/or blots. Maybe it's my military past that has made me so obsessed, maybe it's just that I don't want to obscure any of the words with wandering ink.
I've tried gel pens with varying success ~ because their ink does, and will, skip and blot. I've tried highlighters but they are overkill, I've tried crayon-like Bible marking pens but they are quite messy. Then I tried PIGMA pens....
These PIGMA pens are the *best* pens yet!! The tip of the pen is evenly saturated with the ink and it glides onto the page in one continuous perfect line. This ink also sinks into the paper so that you can shut your bible or turn the page without worrying about wet ink marking the opposite page or smearing all over the place. And while you can see a hint of the lines on the other side of the page, the ink doesn't actually penetrate *through* the page, causing the mess that I once created when using fine line felt-tip markers. (Aiyeee!)
The line made by the PIGMA pens is the perfect width: enough to draw attention to the underlined passage without dominating it by making the words look teeny in comparison.
These pens are worth every penny! -

One of them, after damaging some of my favorite Bibles, is to be careful what I use to mark in my Bible. After a lot of trial and error - mostly error - I have found the best Bible markers to use for the health and happiness of me and my Bible.

Dr Ken5 Stars Out Of 5The best of the Best (perhaps one small caveat)March 26, 2018Dr KenQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I am proud to be the owner of these Micron Inductive Bible pen marking sets. I have found no better set of colour marking pens for Biblical notation, especially since they have never bled through even the thinest pages of any Bible I've used it on. My only "caveat" is the diameter of the "black" Micron pen included in the set.
I had visit a different source so I could replace the "Black" 05 with the 01 point. This is because I prefer to write notes using black ink. Red ink notes are not as clear since the pigment of the Red Micron ink is a bit light ---good for underlining but not as good for note taking. Having said that, these pens (which I purchased from CBD over 7 years ago) are still in perfect working order and have travelled all around the US with me. They may cost more than other pens, but in my experience, they have never failed and the colours remain bright and permanent! Amen! -
cjmills777IdahoAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Greatly enjoy this productAugust 3, 2011cjmills777IdahoAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5I bought this product when I got my new Bible and wanted to really get involved in marking up my Bible with favorite verses and verses I am memorizing, etc. These pens work wonderfully. There is NO bleed through; the colors are vibrant. I love the 8 different colors to choose from. My Pastor's wive gave me a calendar with tips and ideas on how to mark your Bible (she makes them herself). Here is how I use the 8 different colors:
Yellow - promises; verses I can depend on.
Green - verses I need to do. Green means go.
Red - stop doing these things. Red means stop.
Purple - names of God and His attributes.
Orange - any word that means the word of God (including laws, precepts, etc)
Black - verses to remember.
Blue - verses that are special to me.
Pink - verses on no fear and also geared towards women (like the Proverbs 31).
Hope this helps others! -
Steve5 Stars Out Of 5Amazing pens!May 2, 2017SteveQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5If you are searching for colored pens to underline versus in your bible, you can stop looking. These pens do not bleed through,,, PERIOD! Yellow was a little lite for me to use as an underline, so I tried using it as a highlighter by coloring over a verse or two. Again... NO BLEED THROUGH!!! All other colors work great for underlining. The red and black pens have a finer tip which works nicely for margin notes as well as underlining.
