I bought this book a long time ago and the original publishing that I'm aware of is in 1998. It is great resource book. It gives background on how to teach reading, phonics and provides many activities to do so and assessments. It has lists of words under what sounds they make. I also like how they have a predictability chart and deal with and how many words that don't follow patterns should be approached. show exceptions of reading a certain word. My book is a mess of underlining and pen marks. There are bent pages and small rips in the binding. It is probably about time that I get a new book.
