St. Paul's letter to the Philippians is a letter between friends about their relationship with their mutual friend, Jesus. While reading and studying about Paul and the Philippians, you will discover how the Christian life, whether in first-century Philippi or in twenty-first century Fresno, is empowered by Christ. Because He has made us his own, whatever the challenges we face or the weaknesses we confront in ourselves, we can "rejoice in the Lord".
Each of the 6 sessions supplies questions for reflection and/or discussion. An "Approach to Prayer" section is included along with "Living Tradition" and "Saints in the Making" sections which offer thoughts and experiences of Christians past and present. Sessions take about an hour and a half but can be shortened if necessary for your group. The Bible text to be studied is also included.
