PMW4 Stars Out Of 5NICE BIBLE BUT.....July 6, 2018PMWQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4I just got the bible MEV, I like them good enough but
the bible doesn't have the maps OR the references as the picture shown above. :(
I love the rose-gold gilded. All the other translations are the same as the MEV,
nothing much changes at all.
But sad that I didn't see any references as it should have included, the concordances are plenty.
This bible came in with just a slip card that's it, no boxed in and anything else.
Overall it is a good new translation from KJV. I am no fan of the KJVO or others.
I just wanted to read the bible is all I wanted to know the Word of God.

Coach5 Stars Out Of 5Modern English VersionJanuary 21, 2018CoachQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5The man who headed the committee which translated the NEV was a professor of mine in college. Dr. Stanley Horton was a legend among Hebrew scholars in general and his students in particular. He had the ability to reproduce impromptu, on the chalk board any scripture we might be discussing in Hebrew and lecture at length about the meaning, cultural significance's, and application. I last saw Dr. Horton last while I was in Navy uniform on a stop over while traveling through Springfield, Missouri a decade after I had graduated. He recognized my face and as we chatted he told me that he was working on a translation dedicated to the military. I of course was interested. I purchased a copy shortly after his death and it has remained my favorite translation since. It is a word for word translation that closely follows the KJV but has subtle variations which makes it extremely easy to read and understand. I especially like the way the committee capitalizes both the nouns and pronouns in references to the Godhead. Doctor Horton was a notable Hebrew scholar and best of all a humble man of God; this work reflects both of these, his best qualities. All in all I would recommend this translation to anyone purchasing a Bible for a student, military member or someone looking for a closer walk with God. You won't be sorry. May God richly bless and succor those who read these words. ez
Old6StringAsheboro, NCAge: 45-54Gender: Male5 Stars Out Of 5Nearly Perfect.....October 20, 2017Old6StringAsheboro, NCAge: 45-54Gender: MaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I am new to the MEV version. It is a very readable edition. I really like the way it flows. This version is the perfect size and fits the hands very well. The thumb indexing is also an awesome feature as well. I have already started marking it up and so far I am not suffering from too much bleed through as it is the typical thin paper you find in today's Bibles. The 12pt. font is great for my eyes. I think that this Bible version will soon become my everyday reader. IMHO it is nearly perfect for my needs!
WyoBibleReaderWyomingAge: Over 65Gender: Male4 Stars Out Of 5Good Addition to Bible CollectionDecember 4, 2016WyoBibleReaderWyomingAge: Over 65Gender: MaleQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4Bible is easy to read and understand in the modern English language, but is not the King James Version in the modern language as it doesn't have the divine in the verses of Exodus, Psalms and Isaiah as the KJV has.
