In a world where believing in Jesus is becoming more and more frowned upon, J. Warner Wallace's book, "Person Of Interest" brings a perspective that has nothing to do with 'religion' and everything to do with truth. This book allows for the critical thinker to analyze the evidence. From a vantage point of an Investigator's eye and the skill of a expert analyst, Det. Wallace brings details up for examination most ordinary individuals wouldn't think to consider. Not only am I enjoying this book, I plan to reread it, as I have been motivated to dig deeper with heightened perspective; and I am excited about applying some of his research tactics - if I can master them. In my opinion, "Person Of Interest" opens the art of Apologetics up to a whole new sphere.

If you are hungry for a viewpoint that will grant you the upper hand when you get caught in a debate about the facts, or if you are being accused of being biased, this is the book you need to read and recommend. Det. Wallace provides ammunition capable of bending the knee of cynical skeptics. This book is the food for thought that will force the atheist or agnostic in the room to rethink that position, based on the facts, based on the evidence, based on the irrefutable and distinct truth. You've got to read this book!

After reading this materials I believe it is a great book. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for another view to show Christianity is real and verifiable even with out the Bible! I really found Chapters 9 and 10 to be extremely useful and interesting. The complexity of Bible understanding is difficult enough, but this book really make things simple and sensible! Great read and will use it.

Explore the history of education, science, and art from a truly unique perspective!

Original approach to examining the history of education, science, and art. Wallace has done his research beyond any historical or scientific text I have ever read before - he didn't even publish the full end notes in the book because it was over 250 pages long - so it is found online. Added to that the mystery/suspense of a true cold-case, missing body homicide and you have an enjoyable and enlightening book that impressed me. I plan on using this as a Christmas gift for many on my list.

Jim Wallace has stated that when asking Christians why they are Christians, he seldom gets the response "I am a Christian because it's true". As someone who comes from a Christian family and who was raised in the church, and even was intrigued by apologetics, I was not able to convincingly defend my faith. I always thought that 1 Peter 3:15 (...always be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks about the hope you possess") meant that I should have a good personal testimony to share.

It has been eye opening and refreshing to learn that faith in the God of the Bible can be validated by evidence and defended by reason. I now realize that being ready means that we need to be able to rationally and evidentially defend our faith.

Person of Interest will help you to do that. It is a compelling read. While it is full of facts and is a wonderful reference resource, it reads like a novel, and a page turner at that.

Perhaps the best thing about this book is that it shows you how to defend your faith without using the New Testament, but instead by showing the unparalleled impact that Jesus of Nazareth had on the world. Your unbelieving friends may not trust the New Testament, but Jesus clearly had an impact on areas of life and culture that they do care about.

Person of Interest is also a wonderful book to bolster your own faith and confirm that your faith is not blind, but is, in fact, reasonable.

Read this book and when someone asks you why you are a Christian, you can emphatically say, "because Christianity is True!"

The information about the effect Jesus Christ has had on the Current Era is laid out thoroughly as well as the chain of events leading up to his appearance on earth. What a great resource for one's own encouragement and for use in apologetic ministry.
