Every page that I flip and read, I remember the past, where I was so naive and young and careless about the things that I say and do. And suddenly, I realized that my mother has been there, always, even though I push her away from me. Her love for me is unconditional and as always it stays forever even though I hurt her feelings. Giving this book to my mom makes me feel great, and makes me realize that what a good mother she is because she has raised a person like me. It is not too late to give your mothers a perfect gift for mother's day, and that is this book. They will really appreciate it among other things.
Eat Your Peas for Mom by Cheryl Karpen and illustrated by Sandy Fougner is a gift book filled with colorful pastel drawings and sweet saying that say everything you wanted to say to Mom, but didn't know how to put into words. Although the book only takes three minutes to read, it is a wonderful way to thank your mom. I read this book with my mom and smiled through the entire book. Nearly all of the sayings were very applicable to our relationship. The illustrations were winsome and pretty and the font perfectly matches the tone of the book. The verse in the front of the book summed the message of the book perfectly: "Her children rise up and call her blessed..." (Proverbs 31:28). I would heartily recommend this book to anyone looking for the perfect Mother's Day gift. I plan to put this book on the coffee table where my mom can read anytime she forgets how much I love her!

Eat Your Peas...for Mom Simple truths and happy insights! Words by Cheryl Karpen and Art by Sandy Fougner is a beautiful gift book that spoke directly to my heart...it starts out like this...
At the heart of this book is a promise. Its a promise from me to you and it goes like this:
If you ever forget what a wonderful mother you are or doubt for a single moment how grateful I am to call you my mom...
I promise to stop what I'm doing and remind you how much you mean to me.
Meanwhile, my this little book help me say what's on my mind and in my heart...
This book really touched my heart. I dream of having this kind of relationship with my children when they are older. I love the variety of quotes and how they are so personal and really get to the heart of what it means to be Mom. Tears came to my eyes as I read it...in a good way...happy tears!
The artwork is just lovely. I really enjoyed the artful way that Sandy Fougner used so many beautiful forms of calligraphy and drawings. Each one fit each quote perfectly and really added to the message of this little treasure!!!
One of my favorite pages reads:
I think of all the times you must have been exhausted and ready to give up, but you didn't.
May I be as strong of heart for those I love.
This book packs so much power into a very short read...in my opinion, it is more than a "gift book"...it is a true gift from the heart!
If you haven't found the perfect gift for your Mother for Mother's Day yet...get this book! You (and your Mother) will be so glad you did! I loved it!
This is one of those little gift books that may be read in just three minutes but will be treasured by mothers in their hearts forever. I highly recommend it for Mother's Day, Birthdays, or just because.
I know that being a mother is one of the blessings I treasure the most.
I pray that each of you has a wonderful week leading up to Mother's Day!!!

For all those aggravating years I thought the world revovled around me . . . I'm Sorry.

I recently read the cute, short story, Eat Your Peas, Mom. It is about a three minute read filled with inspiring and encouraging tokens diected at mothers. Everyone knows a mother can get discouraged when one of her children makes a mistake. This book is written from the child to the mom. I will give it to my mom in the hopes that she will feel special. It will probably make her cry. I can't wait!
