What are the effects on a Christian's life when he experiences the love of God? What lessons may be learned by following one man's journey as he explores the "breadth and length and height and depth" of God's love? What does it mean to be a partner with God? Written by a retired missionary in the form of a daily devotional, this book combines a lifetime of personal experiences with Biblical principles. It covers topics such as patriotic love, brotherly love, love calls children home, love among the ruins and self love, to name but a few. These are illustrated with quotations from literature or Scripture, and by recounting personal vignettes or the life experiences of other individuals. The reader will be encouraged to embrace the several aspects of God's love. John L. Davey was born in 1916 in Rochester, Kent County, England. He emigrated to Australia with his parents in 1929.
