In this five-session DVD-based small group bible study, Who Is This Man? John Ortberg reveals how Jesus made an inescapable influence on our world and you will learn how you can make one too!
Jesus is historys most familiar figure. His impact on the world is immense and non-accidental. From the Dark Ages to Post-Modernity he is the man who won't go away
He did not brashly defend his movement in the spirit of a rising political or military leader. He did not lay out a case that history would judge superior in all future books. He did not start by telling his disciples, "Here are proofs of my divinity; affirm them and I'll accept you.
Who Is This Man? illustrates how Jesus influence has swept over history, bringing his inspiration to the evolution of art, science, government, medicine, and education. And how his vision for us to lead lives of dignity, compassion, forgiveness, and hope continues to inspire and challenge humanity today
This pack contains one Who Is This Man? DVD and one Participant Guide. When used together, they provide you with a practical tool that can help grow your faith.

Barry4 Stars Out Of 5Fast TempoDecember 1, 2014BarryThis study was a good exploration of the impact of Jesus Christ on the world. It seemed geared more for younger people or seekers than for those who have been studying together for a while. The study questions included a lot of trust building exercises that our group didn't use. The tempo of the presentation was really fast paced. Taking notes was more difficult, but it was more interesting to both the younger and older members of the group. The visual stimulation of the background pictures changing was also good. I think younger viewers would respond better to this than an old style, plodding lecture.

The DVD presentations are both informative and captivating. The discussion questions are challenging, and possibly too in-depth for a group just starting out together. I would definitely recommend getting the book by the same title as a part of the study. There are reading assignments in the book for each week of the study, and the book provides a broader range of coverage of the various topics than the DVD can in 15-20 minutes.
