Cascenta Whyte will win you over from page one in this incredible autobiography of having the strength and grace to grow in the face of nearly unbelievable difficulties. If you've ever felt that life is just one crisis after another, this is the book for you. Whyte begins by sharing the shock of her life due to a case of rape, which caused her to become pregnant. In the face of this, she finally learned the truth of the dysfunction in her family that occurred before she was born. She was able to weather the storm only to end up being diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, yet here she is to share faith and testimony with you. Read this book to find out how the Holy Spirit brought Whyte through her past of shame to health in every area: spiritual, mental, emotional, physical and even finance.

Tell us a little about yourself.  I am a sinner in constant need of God’s grace. Waking up and remembering my human tendency to give into my selfish flesh helps keep me dependent on Gods leadership. I have a husband and two kids I love spending time with. I find great joy in spending time with people. I try hard to get out of the way so God can shine and continue to write on my pages.

What was your motivation behind this project?  The Lord led me to write this book. Many people have questioned me about my motivation and have at times tried to get me to repackage the way I explain my answer. But I can’t because it's the truth. The Lord loved me at my worst and when I needed him most. I have come to understand what grace is because I was in such need of it. As I needed more, Christ love enveloped me. All the Lord would like is for me to share the story he has allowed me to become a part of. To scream to the world that no one is too bad for him or has gone too far that he can’t forgive you.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  Most of all I hope they open themselves up and allow Christ to meet them on their journey through this book. This book is an opportunity to commune with our creator and talk with him about some hard stuff. On some level everyone's life has been touched by something that has happened in the book. I hope their take away is a conversation with Christ.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  While writing this book the Lord taught me new lessons and helped me conquer strongholds that I did not know were still there. This book required obedience first and a great deal of humility. I learned how to lean on the Lord for what was needed to write this book. This is His project.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  I love to listen to Joyce Meyer books. She is full of wisdom. I just recently started watching Joseph Prince and I think he is a great teacher. I listen to all kinds of music, but a few of my favorite musicians are Toby Mac, Matthew West and Sara Groves.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  The people that have read this book have said the book is at times a hard to read, yet they could not put it down. I am sure it was. Some of the chapters were hard to write and I think my words captured that raw emotion. I was able to write this book because I have learned that Christ is a promise keeper and has forgiven me of my past. My deliverance is a story about God’s love and faithfulness not my unfaithfulness. I was able to write this book because I have learned that Christ is a promise keeper and has forgiven me of my past. My deliverance is a story about God’s love and faithfulness not my unfaithfulness. Truly learning how to receive his grace and forgiveness allowed me to tell our story. I am no longer a prisoner of my past and if he wants me to tell our story, I trust that there is a reason for it. My courage comes from my trust in him.
