I read this book at the suggestion of an egalitarian acquaintance so I could better understand the egalitarian position. I was saddened to read how McKnight doesn't just interpret differently the pertinent Bible passages, but approaches the Bible itself differently. His "that was then, this is now" mindset results in interpreting the meaning of Scripture based on the changing norms of culture. I don't recommend this one.
