Standard Publishing’s curriculum and resources are now part of the David C Cook family! Standard Publishing was a pioneer in Sunday school curriculum, with the first issue of The Christian Standard published in April 1866. Readership grew, and in 1872, Standard Publishing was formed. The organization’s mission remained the same: to provide “true-to-the-Bible resources that inspire, educate, and motivate people to a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.”

Standard Lesson Quarterly is a well resourced and comprehensive adult Bible curriculum.The 6-year cycle intentionally takes students through Scripture based on the International Sunday School Lessons (ISSL) / Uniform Series. By participating in the Uniform Series, believers learn the content of the Bible, understand its message, and respond to that message with a life of faith and love.

Each quarter contains 13 lessons including verse-by-verse Bible exposition, discussion questions, culturally relevant examples and ready to use resources to enhance study. Companion resources including the Standard Lesson Commentary, Devotional and Seek or The Lookout magazines bring the lessons home every day of the week. Available in both KJV and NIV Bible Translations.
