Locating Products Online
How do I search for a particular product at Christianbook.com?
Using our search bar is the easiest way to find a specific item. For example, if you're looking for the new book by your favorite author, type the author's name or the title of the book in the search field and select "books" from the drop-down menu to the right. Typing an author's name, book title, keyword (such as "fear") or ISBN are very efficient ways to use the search bar.
We have plenty of other features on our home page to help you find the newest releases, great deals, our recommendations, and upcoming product releases.
Can I browse through the inventory by subject?
Our Browse section, located on the left side of every page, is the best method for browsing through a large selection of products. This section allows you to gradually narrow down products by selecting a variety of options that will fit your needs. For example, if you're looking for an NIV Bible, you can click "Bibles", then "New International Version". From there, you can browse our full selection of NIV Bibles or narrow your search further by selecting "Audio Bibles" or "Study Bible". You could also click "binding" so you can browse only softcovers, hardcovers, or leather covers; or choosing a price point or percentage off to browse by.
Your results will display sorted by bestsellers, so you can see which products are the most popular. If you prefer to sort by different criteria such as price or publication date, click the drop-down menu in the "Sort By" section at the top of your search results and select the method that you would like to sort your results by. You can also adjust your results to show them in "ascending" or "descending" order. For example, if you're searching for the lowest-price item that matches your search, you would adjust the first drop-down menu to "Price," and the second drop-down menu to sort "Ascending".
You can also browse within a particular category by using the blue and gray navigation tabs across the top of our pages. The blue show our largest product categories, and take you to pages filled with recommendations from our expert staff for that particular category. The gray sub-navigation takes you to pages which are sub-categories of the large product categories. On each of these pages, our staff brings together interviews, excerpts, general information, comparisons, audio and video clips, and descriptions relating to the products within a particular subject area. For instance, we have specialty pages that focus on music, fiction, Christian living, Bibles, DVDs, gifts, academic, and kids--just to name a few!
We also have plenty of other features on our home page, too, that will help you find the newest releases, greatest deals, our recommendations, and products that are due out soon.
Is there a way to save an item for later?
Yes. If you do not want to buy an item quite yet, but would like to return to the item at a later time, add the item to your cart or your wishlist by clicking the link on the product detail page that says, "Add to wishlist." We will keep track of those items so you can return to them at a later point. When you return to Christianbook.com, you can access your wishlist by clicking the "wishlist" link at the top of any page on our website.
Please note: This does not reserve a product for you. If we sell out of an item, you will not be able to order this item, even if it is on your wishlist.
