Elemental Science Homeschool Curriculum

The Sassafras living books science curriculum series will inspire kids to love science! Adventure stories integrate facts related to a major science topic into story-lines that children can’t put down. Each book can be read on its own (as a read-aloud or independently by students in 4th grade & up) or can be used alongside the activity book and logbook (each sold-separately) to create a full homeschool science curriculum. Each book is designed to take one semester/ half a year. Grades K-5.

The Classic Series is split into two options: the Grammar Stage (for grades 1-4) and the Logic Stage (for grades 5-8). Both series include a full year (36 weeks) of lessons plans. Based on a classical science education methodology, the teacher’s manual and student workbook work together with subject-specific “spine” references (not included; parents must obtain separately) to create a curriculum that explores science through hands-on inquiry, information, writing, and a science project.
