Hymnplayer

Beginning Hymnplayer is the first book of the Hymnplayer series, and is designed to teach improvisation of sacred songs using easy and traditional hymns. Perfect for students who have had approximately two months of piano lessons, students will start by playing one-note melodies and harmonizing right-hand melodies with one, two, and three-note left hand chords. A fantastic way to supplement lessons and give players a way to access some of their favorite traditional tunes!

Hymnplayer: Primary Level is the second book in the Hymnplayer series, and is designed to teach accompaniment patterns of sacred songs using easy and traditional hymns. Perfect for students who are already familiar with chords and chord inversions, students will learn to play accompaniments by memorizing the accompaniment patterns and apply them, whether by writing while transposing or visualizing notes above or below the written notes.

Hymnplayer: Intermediate Level is the third book in the Hymnplayer series, includes offertory arrangements, duets, and instructional for congregational accompaniment and personal arrangement. Perfect for students who can comfortably play four-parts from the hymnal and are already familiar with triads and triad inversions, students will learn hymn style accompaniment that follows the bass line of a hymn, how to add stepwise or broken chord movement, and learn accompaniment patterns..
